Dr. Daoshing Ni PDF Print E-mail

Daoshing Ni, or Dr. Dao, like his brother Maoshing Ni, has received intensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Taoist tradition since his early childhood, first from his father, Hua-Ching Ni, and later from other achieved teachers in the United States and China. He now brings this wealth of knowledge into his medical practice, his teaching and his everyday life.

At the Tao of Wellness, Dr. Dao is renowned for his expertise in reproductive and gynecological medicine and he recently completed his first book, The Tao of Fertility. Rooted in Taoist practice, this book offers guidance for those who wish to achieve optimal fertility. Patients from all over the world seek his help in this field and with other aspects of wellness. His compassion, dedication, and extensive knowledge shine through in his relationships with his patients and all others who encounter him.

Dr. Dao and his brother founded Yo San University. He served as school president for many years and continues to teach there, dedicating much time and effort to the training of new TCM practitioners. Dr. Dao has an elegant demeanor and teaches by example using words that carry an illuminating message. He is like a patient parent and lets students take their time, make mistakes, and learn how to grow on their own, yet is always there when needed. Dr. Dao, together with his brother, Dr. Mao, and the other teachers at Yo San, have created a caring, deeply rooted, and balanced energy to help students become the 39th generation of healers in the Ni family legacy. Yo San has become one of the top TCM schools in the nation.

As well as being fully committed to his patients, students, and fellow faculty members, Dr. Dao is also dedicated to the mentors, coaches and members of the Integral Way. He shares his knowledge and compassion, which helps to inspire and empower them to improve our world. He teaches that a healthy path in life requires the integration of our daily activities, our relationships, and our environment. He believes that to establish world peace we must first build a peaceful family, and that to achieve a peaceful family, we must first cultivate ourselves. Therefore, the real work for a peaceful world lies inside each of us.

Tao Deh Ching Chapter 36,

If you hope to expand,
You should first contract.
If you hope to become strong,
You should first weaken yourself.
If your ambition is to be exalted,
Humiliation will follow.
If you hold fast to something,
It will surely be taken away.
This is the operation of the subtle law of the universe.

The law of the universe is subtle,
But it can be known.
The soft and meek can overcome the hard and strong.
The strength of a country must not be displayed.
Just as fish cannot leave the deep,
You must never stray from your own true nature.
