Nourish and strengthen your body

Purpose: Stay Healthy
Center: According to instruction
Goal: Improve health and the nervous system

Overview:
Crane Style Qi Gong was developed by Dr. Zhao Jin Xian in 1980. Since then its popularity has spread throughout China and every day, more and more people practice it to cure chronic ailments or simply for the joy of staying healthy.

In Asia the crane symbolizes longevity and peacefulness. The movements in Crane Style Qi Gong are based on those of the crane, which are graceful and harmonious like water in a mountain stream. Crane Style Qi Gong is simple to learn and practice. Each section of Crane Style Qi Gong concentrates on moving the chi to a different area and opening up different energy points to strengthen the flow of chi throughout the various channels meridians. As long as the mind follows the flow of chi during the exercise, its therapeutic effect is pronounced and the energy becomes better regulated and more balanced.

Crane-Style Qi Gong is a nourishing practice, which not only strengthens and refines the chi, but can also bring about a marked improvement in almost every aspect of life. It is a standing exercise and its slow and graceful movements do not require great physical effort. It takes about 20 minutes to perform the entire sequence. The DVD on Crane Style Qi Gong by Dr. Daoshing Ni is available at Tao EShop.
