Integrating Body, Mind and Spirit

Purpose: Coordination of the entire body
Center: All three tan tien
Goal: Balancing the energy

Overview:
Harmony Tai Chi has a balanced focus on integrating the body, mind and spirit. It brings the unique benefits of three traditional styles of tai chi chuan into one easily-learned form. Because of its simplicity, it is a good practice for people of all ages who are interested in improving their health and well-being.

The Harmony Tai Chi Movement, also called Trinity Style, Unity Movement, or Internal Harmony Tai Chi, has been passed down by the Ni Family heritage through an unbroken linage of 74 generations, and contains the essence of three popular styles- Chen, Yang and Wu. The Chen Style, originally developed from martial arts, alternates between strength and softness. The Yang Style tends to be gentle and slow, while the Wu style tends to be lighter and faster. Harmony Tai Chi maintains a gracefulness, naturalness and evenness that exceed any of the individual styles.

Harmony Tai Chi has been broken down to three forms for easy learning. It takes about 5 minutes to perform the beginner’s 18-Step Harmony form, 8 minutes to perform the intermediate 28-Step form, and 25 to 30 minutes to perform the advanced 108-Step long form. The book describing the 18 step form, Harmony Style Tai Chi by Dr. Maoshing Ni and its companion DVD and the 108 step long form video tapes “Tai Chi Chuan” part I and part II by Dr. Maoshing Ni are available at Tao EShop.

We have a Harmony Tai Chi retreat this fall in New Mexico from Sept. 23rd to 26th, 2010. Click Tai Chi for more information.
