Happy Chinese New Year!

The Chinese New Year starts on Feb. 14th and this is the year of the Tiger. Dr. Mao predicts in his New Year casting: “In Chinese astrology, the Tiger is a dynamic and powerful sign. Its nature is unpredictable, courageous and volatile. Therefore, the Year of the Tiger is usually associated with big change and social turmoil... Those who gain an understanding of it through this article and their own spiritual awareness should have the flexibility to adapt to changes and keep a steady hand on the keel through rough waters.”… To read more visit the “community homepage.”

Omni's New Year message

Omni writes in his 2010 New Year message: “I ask for your help because it is crucial toward having continued safe lives for all humanity. I have volunteered my work over the last 33 years, established my service as the Union of Tao and Man... As time changes, updating how we present these time-honored truths needs all our attention.” To read highlights of Omni’s 2010 New Year Message and contribute your thoughts and reflections, visit the Discussion Forum/Highlights of Omni’s Writings.

From the Forum

Our book discussion with Omni and Dr. Mao’s recent book “Love of Mother Universe” with editor Barbara Wolff has brought several important insights to the understanding of who we are, our connections with Mother Universe and how best to retune, detoxify and restore our true nature. Come explore our discussion:

“...Improve our understanding of life: For genuine spiritual progress nature needs to be correctly observed and understood. … This is why the emphasis on managing and developing our general acquired minds so that the spacious, neutral mind is able to clearly perceive and attune to the operation of natural laws.

Also in the Forum/Highlights of Omni's Writings: "Most people think that events in their lives are determined by external influences. They fail to realize that the basic truth of life, which appears to be an external reality, is only a mirror of the subtle contents held within. In other words, an individual's experiences are determined by the energy that one forms in one's mind. Energy of a certain frequency responds to and attracts energies of a corresponding frequency. …” This excerpt is taking from Hua-Ching Ni’s book “8000 Years of Wisdom,” posted by Vlasta.

In the Blog

Jono reflects on the stages of life through the “Golden Message” by Drs. Dao and Mao... under Part VI, you will see a series of chapters on the Three Stages Of Spiritual Achievement. These are identified as Learning, Realization, and Ascension…” To read more or make a comment, go to our Blog/Stage of Life.

As we enter the New Year of 2010, Dr. Mao and Laraine reflect on New Year resolutions in the Blog. In his January talk Dr. Mao discusses how to make practical resolutions and to work toward emotional independence. He suggests shaping our energy on a regular basis to bring positive responses. To listen to his talks and make comments or ask questions, go to the Blog/Dr. Mao’s Monthly Talk. To download his talks, go to “Resources/Dr. Mao’s Monthly Talk.

Laraine draws the comparison between starting a new year and our morning routine. She writes in the Blog, “…As we look to a New Year ... the same wisdom about morning applies to a New Year or new season: Stretch--invigorate every area of your life as you prepare for a new year... Eliminate old waste... what has become excess or unneeded, physically, emotionally or spiritually?  Take out old habits, emotions, possessions ... Plan--just as the first step out of bed determines and influences every other step in the day... so also the first days and weeks of a new year are potent influences on the days ahead. …”
