The College of Tao (COT) was founded in 1976 in Santa Monica, California by Hua-Ching Ni and his two sons, Dr. Daoshing Ni and Dr. Maoshing Ni. The purpose of the COT is to train the next generation of spiritual leaders. It functions as a training hub for the Mentors and Coaches of the Integral Way, and others interested in this teaching.
The College strives to make a broad spectrum of knowledge and spiritual practices available and applicable in the modern world to help people integrate the natural functions of their body, mind and spirit, with the ultimate goal of uniting with their high spirit.
The study programs offered by the College provide the tools and guidance needed to support the development of all those who seek a better life, which can, in turn, help to improve the wellbeing of humanity. Spiritual studies and cultivation, based on life experiences, can also help to free us from the external pressures or unnatural influences in our lives. Each student has a unique way of learning and will vary in the time it takes to progress, so the COT courses have no deadlines for completion, unlike those in academic, social, and professional life.
The coursework consists of guided study materials to support the student’s own understanding, self-reflection, and personal spiritual practice and the programs are primarily designed for self-study.
The College is currently preparing courses for the public on how to obtain complete health in five key areas - Physical Health, Mental Health, Spiritual Health, Moral Health and Financial Health - so that they may live what we call the Path of Constructive Life.
The courses are designed as a step-by step-guide for people who wish to overcome the challenges in their lives, and improve their ability to help and teach others. Removing these obstacles in life gives us the chance to fulfill our true aspirations and dreams.
Refer to the COT Course List for more information on the current online courses offered. We sincerely hope that our programs will help to uplift and integrate your total being. For more information go to: www.collegeoftao.org

The College has a world-wide spiritual mission to help people awaken to their natural spiritual self and let them see that there is a natural spiritual light that is as much a part of their lives as their bodies and minds are. — Hua-Ching Ni, Spiritual Messages from a Buffalo Rider
