"Followers of the Way appreciate that the salvation of humanity must come from within each individual. They therefore help themselves and others to manage and take responsibility for their own health and spiritual growth, naturally."
--Barbara Wolff, Mentor of the Integral Way
Some people call this teaching Taoism, but Hua-Ching Ni states in the Centermost Way: "That is not entirely accurate, since we should not mistake this tradition of natural spiritual truth for the commonly known religious or folk Taoism. The Way can never become a fixed dogma, since the Way of Nature is never fixed. She moves and cycles infinitely. It is up to us to attune to her if we wish to realize a complete, healthy and enduring spiritual life. The Way moves us to go beyond the surface of things, where constant trouble is experienced, to the deep root, which is ever-peaceful."
While the Integral Way is the teaching of the Way or Tao, it is more a model of living rather than a philosophy or religion. Its purpose is to guide people to live a natural, healthy life and to develop a higher potential for their life journey.
Hua-Ching Ni’s teaching of the Integral Way embraces and incorporates the subtle essence of all spiritual teaching, particularly the ancient Chinese wisdom from the Yellow Emperor and Lao Tzu. However, the Integral Way goes far beyond traditional Taoism and teaches the universal spiritual truth developed from the life experience of all humanity. Its heritage is full of rich wisdom and time-tested practices. It provides strong support and guidance for people who wish to practically develop and spiritually evolve in their lives.
Hua-Ching Ni and his sons, Dr. Maoshing Ni and Dr. Daoshing Ni, encourage and guide people to live a constructive life. The Path of Constructive Life (PCL), is based on the teaching of the Integral Way and works to improve the health of humanity and the well-being of the world. A simple explanation of the PCL is to be healthy and balanced in five key areas: spiritual, mental/emotional, physical, moral/social, and financial.
The teaching of the PCL assists people to improve their lives using their own ability. The goal of the Integral Way is to help people live a universal life. In order to accomplish such a great mission, however, we must first learn to enjoy peace and harmony in our daily lives.
